The Uckfield Divas WI were established from a very large interest meeting in February 2016. That evening there were more ladies than anyone expected. It soon became very clear to all that there was a need to start up two groups from all those present.
A few like minded, enthusiastic and perhaps a "little nuts" volunteered. We met in March 2016, formed a committee, found a venue, started planning speakers, organising different sub groups ( book club, craft group, community group ) as well as social events - “Uckfield Divas WI”was born. Our aim is to set an environment where women who want to share and learn have somewhere to do so in a friendly environment. Whether you would like to perfect a new skill or just met some new friends we hope that you will enjoy being part of something special. |
We meet on the third Wednesday of every month at
The Cinque Ports Club in Uckfield and in addition to our monthly meetings we provide spin off groups such as a book club, walking group or just a social evening and many more activities.

MembershipThe annual membership is £44 for 11 monthly meetings running from April to March an AGM and access to many other events as organised by the hard working committee! New members joining the WI for the first time, i.e. who have not previously been a member of any WI in the previous 1 year, they will pay a pro-rata subscription depending on the quarter in which they join. The rate per quarter is shown in the table to the right. WI members can belong to more than one WI, by paying the full membership fee to the first WI, and a further £20 to any additional WIs at any time of the year. There is no pro-rata rate for dual membership. WI subscription and dual fees are paid directly to the WI/s you wish to join. |

Sub Groups
All of our sub groups are run by the members for members.
We communicate with all these groups via Whats App.
Once you are a member of the Divas WI you can join as many of the sub groups as you like.
The more you put in to the groups the more you will get out.
